Placing the address before talking about the lock
Oullins-Pierre-Bénite was formed in 2024 by the merger of two neighbouring communes, and the street index still shows it. Give the street, the number and the former commune, in that order. Between the centre of Oullins and the centre of Pierre-Bénite there is a whole district, a motorway junction and two different ways in. It is not an administrative nicety.

Haute-Roche is the residential hillside on the Oullins side; Les Hautes-Roches is a housing estate on the Pierre-Bénite side, with Le Perron immediately next to it. Sending a van to the wrong one costs time nobody gets back. Add a landmark visible from the road: a shop sign, a bus stop, the entrance to a car park.
In the centre of Oullins, along the Grande Rue, many front doors do not open onto the pavement. No method can be announced over the phone, and nobody can promise a damage-free opening from the kerb: the survey happens at the door. Proof that you occupy the property is asked for before any door is opened: rent receipt, energy bill, home insurance certificate.
